Interactive

Unlike conventional broadcast media, webcasts can be highly interactive and outstrip the one-way ‘passive’ limitations of say TV or radio.

You can allow your audience to interact and shape how your live webcast develops from simple viewer ‘call ins’ via telephone, through to incoming email/ text messages being relayed to the presenter or even fully interactive, real time voting. The dialogue between the speaker and the audience can be established by many means:

  • Phone in – as used for many years on radio and TV, callers can pose their questions to a speaker using an ordinary telephone. The audio from the caller can then be ‘mixed’ in to the audio feed of the webcast.
  • Electronic messaging – email provides a comfortable environment for users to pose questions to the speaker. Incoming emails or even SMS ‘texts’ can be relayed directly to the speaker via PortaPrompt type systems.
  • Online voting – online voting can be offered by presenting viewers with a range of options to which the viewer can submit his/ her vote. The results of the voting can be collated and reported on virtually instantly.
  • Push content - predefined resources can be set to ‘appear’ at particular times during the webcast – weblinks, downloadable files even online forms can be offered to the viewers – all taking the experienced beyond mere video and audio.

Don’t forget that the content that you can broadcast is not restricted to just video and audio we’ve pioneered presentation webcasts that see simultaneous presentation content can be delivered along side the video as having PowerPoint slides advancing as the presenter presses the button can help get even the most complex message across.

MultiStream has also pioneered one of the World’s first live transcription services, that enables a feed from professional palantypists or stenographers to be captured and relayed, in real time along side the video and audio content.
