TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience.
TedX events are delivered worldwide and TedX Cardiff, an independently run event was held in the prestigious Wales Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay in the Westwood Studio, run by organisers Neil Cocker and Claire Scantlebury. The free event was sold out completely and provided an insight into Science, music and social media.

The event itself was divided into two sessions and presentations were delivered from the likes of Science Presenter Wendy Sadler & astrophysicist Robert Simpson, Musical performances by Tara Busch and a beatbox rapping showcase by Ruffstylz and Beatbox Fozzy and insight into the production of BAFTA –nominated Amazon with producer Steve Robinson.
MultiStream provided live streaming coverage of the two sessions to a worldwide audience, ranging from viewers in places such as USA and United Emirates. Each session lasted for two hours with the stream being made available via the TEDx Cardiff website.

The WMC provided connectivity for the live stream and audio feed and Ed Truckell delivered the live video mix of the sessions to MultiStream.
Neil Cocker, organiser said
"We were aware of the international attention that running a TEDx event brings, alongside the hundreds of more local people who couldn't attend the live event. And so we were very keen to use live web-streaming to open it up to everyone. Ruth and the MultiStream team were incredibly friendly and flexible, and made it possible for us to reach viewers from middle America to the Middle East, with people tuning in all over Europe as well. It was brilliant to work with a company that instantly "gets" what you're trying to do, then simply does it with the minimum of fuss!"
